Empowering Youth Through Creative Expression

IMG_0651_edited_edited.jpg

Our thrift store and creative workspace offer a unique environment where youth can explore business skills, creative expression, and community connection. Whether through our job training, entrepreneurship programs, volunteer opportunities, or art workshops, TAGS empowers teens and young adults to build confidence, resilience, and real-world skills.

As more youth face stress, anxiety, and depression, TAGS is a safe space where they can create, connect, and thrive. Our motto—“Create More, Stress Less”—reflects our mission to promote well-being, individuality, and positive change.

Join us in inspiring the next generation of creators and changemakers.

Teen Advocacy Going Strong (TAGS) is a woman-founded and led nonprofit creative reuse hub supporting diverse and underserved youth ages 13–24. At TAGS, we combine art, sustainability, and entrepreneurship to help young people grow through hands-on experience.

Our programs provide youth opportunity to build confidence, resilience and real-world skills.

EMPLOYMENT & VOLUNTEERISM

TAGS offers teens and young adults the opportunity to work at our thrift store. This program gives young people experience in both forming and running a small, start-up business.

As young people navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood, TAGS offers a safe space to create, connect, and build skill for the future.

REPURPOSE/CREATE WORKSHOPS

This program provides a space for teens to create their own fashion trends through the use of sewing machines and a variety of other tools. Creative acts like drawing, painting, and sewing can help calm and focus the mind, similar to meditation.
